sayonara 30! don't let the door hit you on your way out!

i'm the worst poster... mostly because i rarely upload my iphone... 

so here was my birthday weekend in pix:

my family was in town (sussy was shooting, BIL was working, ali is doing an internship at Redbook, and jaycob came to play) and, you know how we all love to huddle together like immigrants in my studio apt because no one wants to miss a party!

evie is thrilled about my "nursery" made with a bed sheet, two tacks and my kitchen/entryway...

the rest of us slept like this.... 5 adults, one baby and a dog... yowzah!

but we had a total blast and i was so grateful they made my birthday so special. 

i started with a bounty of gifts from my bestie, L. my girlfriends are the most incredibly generous gifters. they're all so thoughtful and i'm so grateful. 

my birthday fell on a sunday (blerg..) so we hit church in the am and wandered thru union square park and saw the sand, bubble, and bagpipe men.

because it was my birthday and i could justify this on no other day, i got the donut french toast filled with cheesecake, rolled in toasted coconut, and drizzled with ice cream and an orange grand marnier sauce.... outrageous. 

we sent up to the roof for a little game time and BIL, adam, raced down to empire cakes and snuck up the most delicious surprise cake. sussy and BIL are insanely thoughtful. 

i was in the ultimate sugar coma and we were at mid day. 

jaycob and i were sequence team mates. roof top game night is my favorite sunday eve tradition. 

later, we dined at DBGB ...

where subsy came to hang... and adam photobombed. 

the next day, we had my traditional bday party at the shake shack but it was a miserably dreary rainy night... thankfully the rain held, but we froze a little.. i was still so happy to see all my pals. i do have the greatest friends. 

evie girl and i loved the balloon cab ride.

even my fav laura came on her death bed and brought her classy tissues. 

MM & BT asked if i'd accept their bachelor roses (cause the party fell on a monday night). yes, fellas i'll accept both of you. polyandry is a game we all can play!

audra made the most amazing strawberry rhubarb (my FAVORITE combo) filled cupcakes. we all went crazy for them. 

i got to make another wish! hooray!

and all my friends and fam all made (another) wish for my birthday... listen, after this mess of a year, i can use all the help i can get!

and we sent those balloons into the gotham sky. 

 i had the best time!
i really couldn't have been happier to get rid of 30. that year really killed me...
31 is going to be great! i can't wait to see what's around the corner!
