i REALLY know my sugar...
i don't know if i should be proud or embarrassed that i'm quite the cupcake connoisseur.
i'm not a fan of magnolia's & billy's (too sugary, grainy, dry), nor crumbs (bad frosting and DRY!).
i like baked by melissa but can plow thru a dozen of those bite sized cupcakes without blinking and ... well.... there goes $12.
my favorite overall bakeries:
sprinkles
and molly's cupcakes
i'm crazy for their peach cobbler cupcake (insanity.) and ron bennington (chocolate peanut butter).
evie nani is crazy for the peach cobbler cupcake.
happy cupcaking!

I went on a cupcake hunt while living in DC last year and out of Crumbs, Georgetown Cupcake (DC Cupcakes), Baked & Wired, and Sprinkles - Sprinkles definitely came out on top. So good.
I agree! I am huge cupcake fan (it's a little silly) and I have tasted almost every cupcake in LA/SB and my favorite is Sprikles. They did the cupcakes at my wedding!
Magnolia is too grainy. There is something off. I think they need more butter.
Nothing upsets me more than lard in frosting!
sugar is mormon heroine.
i think you are in very good...addicted company
xo
Natalie: Sweet Revenge on Carmine Street. Life changing. Their peanut butter chocolate is the best... and I don't even like cake that much.
Mine: Banana with dark chocolate frosting at sprinkles. WAY the best.
I just went to Sprinkles for the first time.. and I'm in LOVE! Soooo good :)
Went on a cupcake tour yesterday in NYC. First time at Molly's and loved it. I will be back for sure. Magnolia's red velvet was try. Won't be going back. Recently went to Sprinkles and loved the Smores. Red velvet was a bit sweet for me but it could be b/c it was my second cupcake of the day. I will have to try it again on my next visit. Lemon was really good too. That was the first one I tried there last month.
