Okay, so are we pretending that we have boyfriends? Or that our husbands are boyfriends? Because there's something I'd give my husband, that I would have never given my boyfriend.
So moving on...
I'd give my BOYFRIEND really great tickets to see his fave band because my BOYFRIEND never spends money on himself.
Though, he spends it on me:) Occasionally.
I NEED that bracelet!

That's beautiful!

For heart day: of course a card. always a card. cheesy and expected, but a must. this year's gift also includes cool bookends and a photography/photoshop book to help with the new skills he's tinkering with.

What a fantastic piece of jewelry! For my husband this Valentine's day we are going to put the baby to bed early and I am going to make him a special dinner.

this is gorgeous! I'm getting my honey buns a Valentines advent calender with lots of little treats for each day. It will start ON v-day...so we'll just extend the fun another week!

Mal Mecham said...

That is darling! I want!! :) Let's see... gift for a boyfriend? Sounds cheesy, but the best gift I ever did was collecting 101 things everyone loved about him and typing it up. :)

Anne said...

Ooo, gorgeous! I love that bracelet!

My husband and I are going out for a swanky dinner on V-day. But I'm secretly making him a little book full of all the reasons I love him. It's turning out really cute!

erin elder said...

Oh, winning this would be stellar!! This bracelet would go wonderfully with so much of my jewelry!

erin elder said...

... oh and the V-day plans for the boy are dinner and a movie, with the gift of a card and a DVD {the DVD will have a gift certificate inside it for his favorite store} -- shhhhhhh don't tell him : )

Love love love the bracelet! We usually decide to spend our money on the day's experiences, like massages and a nice dinner. This year we're doing massages, Thai food and a movie. Mmmm.

Happy Dash said...

love this bracelet!

I always give my used-to-be-boyf-now-husband a pair of heart boxers for Valentine's day. Boxers are my go-to for guys (brothers and dad included). This year I'm adding a book he really wants but won't buy for himself about NBA basketball (is it bad I already forgot the title). In years past I've added pictures or collages with the boxers.

Christie said...

There's only one thing the husbands really want for valentine's day. Seriously.

But I think I MUST HAVE THAT BRACELET. It's ten ways of fabulous.

Lizzie said...

a sweet card and a new hat. the sweaty/old one needs to go :)

Emily said...

Every year my husband and I go somewhere alone....for valetines and our anniversary (dates are close). I think that is the best gift...time together!! I would love that beautiful bracelet.

I would give my boyfriend tickets to his favorite sports game and I would go with him.

I am getting my husband a watch because I don't think he will get one for himself.

Barb @ getupandplay said...

Ha ha @Chi-townRawlins, right on, girl!

My huz and I are giving each other massages (in the same room, probably too awk for a bf).

My BIL always cooks for his wife on VDay and then they have fun talks like talking about their 'bucket list', etc.

kristin said...

Steak dinner or a new pair of shoes.

toocoolisoms said...

Cologne. My husband loves to have choices and he has run out of a couple of his favorites. Kind of cheesy, but I know he'll love it! :-)

B said...

Every year we give each other pjs or comfy wear like socks, boxers, lounge pants. Usually with a valentine theme or fun colors. It's just our day to be comfy and in love.

Although now, I may be asking for some jewelry!

Jessica said...

just dinner together

My husband and I are taking your sister's photography class so I got him a tripod. :) Not the sexiest gift but he is going to be really excited! (And sorry if its not much help for your mr.)

I love the bracelet!

For V-day I am giving my hubby the 1st Harry Potter book in Japanese. He learned it on his mission and is now worried of losing the language! I'm so excited to give it to him, I hope he likes it!

Gorgeous bracelet btw.

Would so love to rock this bracelet. My hubby melts for anything handmade with thought...he loves letters telling him how amazing he is. I am going to heart attack his car the day after v-day so when he wakes in the morning to leave at 5am he will get an unexpected surprise and I am also giving him a letter on the big day with a handmade card.

Linda Matson said...

Hubs needs a new robe. His old one is so not sexy :-p. And you need to be sexy on V-day, don't you?

Very lovely bracelet!

kura2025 said...

Well if someone is giving me a boyfriend for Valentine's then I suppose I should get him a present...hm...since he's a new boyfriend how about something food related. I'll even cook.

Hiccup MeL said...

IF I had a boyfriend, I would give him an 11x14 picture of ME for Valentines. In an embarrassingly gold frame and having it delivered to him at work on Friday with flowers. Just to embarrass him. Maybe I'd feel differently if I really had one?

dariak said...

i never comment on these things but this bracelet is inspiring me to conquer new frontiers.

i'm getting the bf a french press and a coffee grinder. i don't drink coffee, so its all for him

Em & Gar said...

Oh yes please! It would be such a perfect Valentines gift (to me) and just in time for my upcoming anniversary!

.debbie. said...

I would love that bracelet, its gorgeous! Unfortch, my man and I don't celebrate V-day - never have, in the 6 years we've been together! Every day is an opportunity to show you love someone. Good luck on your gift though!

Hillybug said...

i am gifting hubby new snowboard boots and a pair of lift tickets but that might be a bit pricey for the boyfriend.

love the bracelet and would love to gift it to myself this valentines :)

Em & Gar said...

Woops, got so excited about the bracelet I didn't read the instructions! I'm taking my husband (who I like to call boyfriend sometimes) on a carriage ride through Hardware Ranch where thousands of Elk live in the winter. He's totally gonna love it. :)

Matt 'n Erin said...

I made my bf, now husband, a valentines jar with heart shaped notes telling him how much he meant to me and why. He loved it and has returned the favor by adding notes to me in the jar. I was embarrassed about it then but love to go back now and read what I wrote. Sweet memories...

We took a trip to Maui last month, so for Valentine's Day I bought a huge 21-opening collage frame and am filling it with pictures of our trip. (I am sorting through pictures as we speak, and it is practically IMPOSSIBLE to narrow it down to just 21 pictures!)

Also, I got his favorite Mrs. Cavanaugh's Mindy Mint in a personalized heart-shaped truffle.

For dinner on Valentine's Day, we are planning to continue the tradition we started last year of a candle-lit fondue dinner at home.

Jamie said...

Boyfriendless me - will give myself something sparkly.

I love the bracelet!

My husband needs a trip to Mexico! Good thing, too, because I have one in the works.

~Jen~ said...

Hmmm...my and my hubby's Valentine's plans? Well they're kind of pathetic (unless he's planning something I don't know). I think he's going to have to work most of Saturday, Sunday we have church but I have planned a candle light dinner for the whole fam (3 kids and all). We do have mailboxes for each family member that we've snuck little surprises and goodies in all week. We also did a family service project as a part of Valentine's work and held a food drive for those who are without. So maybe we're not so pathetic, just not too romantic this year....except for the 4 valentine's cards my hubby will find hidden in different places all weekend long. I'm more of a everyday romance girl. BUT I need that bracelet...really.

The Novelist said...

For a fairly new boyfriend I would use my baking skills to whip up a yummy gift. Along with a fabulous card of course!

For my husband I am framing a photo of him and his buddies from 22 years ago on a hiking/snowboarding trip. It is going to be very vintage and cool looking!

I would LOVE this bracelet!

rachel v. said...

I am giving my hubs a night of heart shaped pizza, homemade ice-cream and a his-choice movie night :)
I LOVE that bracelet, btw!

Jessica said...

Since we're just a touch on the poor side this year (us and the rest of the world!) I'm getting creative.
I made him a scavenger hunt that ends with a big plate of his favorite sugar cookies and a zombie movie for us to watch. Eating and zombie flicks are his fav, so I can't go wrong!

HillTopStar said...

I sent my friend, who happens to be a boy, a postcard with a classic black and white photo of Marlene Dietrich. I stamped a heart on the back and said Happy V-day. Simple, but he loves her.

So I had just started dating my boyfriend for a couple of months at the time in January and we went to a store that was having an awesome sale. He tried on this great shirt but couldn't justify it...So I crossed my fingers that it would still be there on Monday...and it was! Definitely a hopeful gift that we would be together at Valentine's time (I tried it on just in case;). Wrapped it up with a note on the top-"Because you looked handsome in it...) And we are going to the Marriage of Figaro that night. Hope you have a great V-day! AND a would LOVE that bracelet-to fulfill hidden rock star leanings;)

Colleen said...

That bracelet is super gorgeous! We're doing dinner and cards, as always. I like it that way. :)

I'm lame and normally buy my husband iTunes gift cards, TV shows on DVD or the latest video game he wants. Not the most romantic but they're all things he wants but won't get for himself. I'm trying to be more romantic this year but I'm not coming up with anything.

HillsRus said...

I think I am just going to make him something... and do a heart attack!

Rachel said...

My husband doesn't want anything for V-day. Seriously. He hates when I get him stuff. Which is cool with me. But on the other hand he hates buying me stuff too...so maybe I'm not so cool with it. Hmmm...I need a bracelet! :)

I am lucky and my boy-toy (otherwise known as Hubby) loves to cook! So I buy him lots of kitchen gadgets! Then I benefit from them as he makes me dinner every night! And especially on v-day he goes all out.
BEAUTIFUL bracelet....which so happens is my hubby's favorite item of jewelry on me!

meagan said...

We aren't overly romantic at our house, so I'm giving my man something a little more practical. He's an outdoor boy, so he is getting a fire piston it's a primitive way to start fires without matches they are actually beautiful. I read about them in National Geographic Adventure. I'm going to put a little note in the card about "keeping the flame alive" and of course the always loved itunes gift card. If I win the bracelet I will have to buy the matching necklace and earrings. I love them!

oh that bracelet is fabulous!

in january i started working on a scrapbook for my boyfriend. it's cheesy but really heartfelt and perfect for our relationship right now. a few pictures and some pretty captions are all you need for a simple scrapbook, i didn't use actual movie stubs or notes and mine turned out to look more like a coffee table book. good luck! this day is a chance for you to be cheesy and not feel bad about it! :)

I'd definitely give him a snuggie, popcorn/treats, his favorite movie :) So it's a little cheesy and not typical or expensive, but funny.

Cat said...

Okay, so don't get him a PLANT (unless he is way into horticulture). No joke, I overheard some girls discussing v-day gifts in the Target dressing room the other day and a PLANT (not a flowering plant cause that would be too girlie, duh) made the "must get" list. Apparently the {poor} girl thought her bf need a plant in his bach. pad. It makes for a funny story but a bad v-day gift.

In between boyfriends for the first Valentine's Day in years! But no worries--enjoying the day with my mother, who hasn't been a fan of the holiday since my dad died 10 years ago, and really, who could I possibly love more than my mother? Treating her to breakfast in bed, manipedis, and giving her a framed professional photo I had taken of our family dog and me (her son and daughter natch!) Plus, thinking of getting her Broadway merch. Plenty of things she wants but she's so bad about buying things for herself!

Mercedes said...

what a beautiful bauble! i just looked at the website too and i love the halo earrings. purchases will be made! so gift for the man: the wire series (best tv show ever) i know it isn't sentimental....but it will be enjoyable (plus we get to snuggle while watching).

For my hubby this valentine's day (It's our first as husband and wife) I'm making dinner and throughout this week I've been leaving little notes around telling him why I love him. We're both students so we're broke but heartfelt gifts don't have to cost a lot of money.
p.s. I would love that bracelet!

I bought my boyfriend a cute/funny valentine's day card that makes fun of the heart-shaped boxes of chocolate, so I got him one of those too. And then I got a bag of skittles b/c they are his favorite and to top it off... a Dinosaur coloring book and crayons.

No. I'm not 7 years old. We just started dating about a month ago, so I didn't want to go super serious. The dinosaurs are kind of an inside joke so hopefully it will make him laugh. Plus he's really a goofball kid at heart.

Very cute bracelet.

(p.s. he told me today he was going to learn all the words to Party in the USA for me for V-day b/c apparently all the brothers at the frat house play it every morning to wake up and I learned sign language for the whole song as a project. He thinks it's cute to sing... he's special.)

I like subtle, simple gestures on v-day. and I definitely like that jewelry.

i'm giving my husband a watch for our ONE YEAR anniversary (the day before v-day) but i am currently stumped for a v-day present. i will probably end up giving him lots of chocolate and some heart boxers. yes... i think i will stick with that.

First, Ill take the bracelet! Second, I am giving my love a new wedding ring. We're on #3 currently. So lets hope this one stays on his finger.

If I had a bf for v-day (it's been a few years!) I'd give him tickets to an NBA game, a home made candle light dinner and then a good make-out session ... what else would a guy love?!?!
love, LoVe, LOVE the bracelet!!

I wish I could give my husband a trip to San Diego and endless rounds of golf...warm and fun for my man.

Jess said...

Ooo...I love that bracelet! I say Valentine's Day is all for experiences together, so I like to give tickets to something he thinks is fabulous...a great game, show, concert, etc.

Rebecca said...

i know this is SUPER cheesy, but i write him a VERY sappy poem and usually make him breakfast in bed (we're married). good luck w. your man!

I'm going totally practical! The boyfriend goes through dress shirts like it's his job..or rather, he goes through them because of his job :) In any case, I'm getting him some new ones so he can do some closet purging.

Because I turn 34 on Valentine's Day and need something pretty in my single life.

If my husband were my boyfriend and money grew on trees, I would definitely get him Brian Regan tickets. Have you heard of this comedian? Hilarious!
And that bracelet is fabulous!

I made him a pair of seersucker pj pants...and I found a 3-D card (complete with glasses) at urban outfitters!

How fun!!! I made my hubby a heart shaped pillow with a little pocket in it for love notes! :)

I am actually giving my boyfriend a couple Beatles CDs and a lovely dinner.

Sharee said...

I would give him a makeout mix CD, made with love by me of course. I would make him his favorite dinner.

Love that bracelet! We're not big V-day people, however, my husband always makes me a fancy surprise dinner for V-day. Even though going out to dinner is one of my fav things to do, it's always one of my favorite nights of the year AND we save money. I'm doing IOU's for him this year (again, we don't do big Vday things)...massage, he can turn the TV to an NHL game any night and I won't complain, etc.

Crystal said...

This year for V-day, I got my boyf-husb a globe. He's always wanted one. I'm fighting the inclination to write something cheesey in his card along the lines of "you mean the world to me." I hope I don't accidentally write that, but it just might happen.

BOYFRIEND is getting a list of 100 things I love about him.

I love to take pictures, so naturally I have thousands and thousands!! I'm making a picture book on shutterfly with our story, so it'll be like a real book!

I love love love that bracelet! This year for heart day my boyfriend and I are making each other things….I am going to make him the cheesiest V-day card possible and a home made meal.

I think I just fell in love with that bracelet.

If I had a boyfriend I'd give him a great memory of V-day. Memories are usually better than stuff (except the bracelet). And a nice hand-made, hand-written card. And, as long as we're pretending, he'd be the type to fully appreciate the card, right?

I have no idea in the present department but I thought I would kick old school and make him a mixed tape. With old music from when we were growing up. Good Luck I LOOOOOVE this its awesome!!! and your right totally rockstar!!Plus my birthday is on V-day so I think I need it!! haha! So glad you have a sweetie during V-day!

I try and get something that let's us spend time together, like cooking lessons, or even sign us up for volunteer projects... Not sure how you can make that a present but I am sure you can!

I'm boyfriend-less right now, but one gift I gave a past boyfriend is a cd of songs we'd heard together and loved, and a cd featuring a few of his favorite bands(some that I didn't care for, and he would skip listening to aroung me). He loved the fact that I'd found the random songs that made him smile, and appreciated the time.

For the stud: a nice leather picture frame with a shot of you in it (looking hawt), a foot rub, delish "homemade" dinner.

We're having a quiet night at home with a movie and some yummy fondue.

Love this! I'm not the world's best Valentiner, so I need to improve in that area. I usually make sure a nice dinner/outing is planned. Kind of boring. Hoping to be more creative this year...

My wardrobe needs more gold! For v-day this year i'm going to a party totally unrelated to the holiday.

For Valentine's I got my Valentine an old-fashioned straight razor shave at a swanky barber shop in Seattle called... Yep, no kidding... Valentine's! It's so perfect! He's never had one and really wants to try it.

Linds Forrest said...

I am giving him bright pink pancakes Valentines morning and I will be wearing something pleasing to the eye when serving him his breakfast.

If money was no object, I would buy my husband a round of golf at Augusta. He's a huge golf fanatic and I think this would make him beyond happy.

One of the positives of being single is that I don't have to waste $ on someone else. HAHA (Trying to sound optimistic?) I can buy myself Valentine's gift of my own choosing! I'm going through a jewelry phase right now. That bracelet is gorgeous!

Love the bracelet!
For v-day, I'm giving my hubby fortune cookies that I'm making myself with my own fortunes, mostly inside jokes!

An i-pod touch. Because he deserves to be able to occasionally tune out the 4 females (3 daughters and me) that he lives with!

I am getting the boyfriend a card, but it's going to be more of a collection of the last year, a love story if you will. I am also baking molten chocolate cakes, fingers crossed they turn out okay this time!

Every year, I give him new pictures of myself! Everyone in unique and different and he can remember how much I love him!

I have to admit that I always have the hardest time with v-day for guys. Buying something for my guy for v-day is just about impossible. But since he's a super practical guy I went with something he'll really love and use. And I'll fix up something nice for dinner, hopefully with a clean house and we can just relax and enjoy the day together. Good luck thinking of something!

My hubby and I switch off every year, as the planner. This year I am doing a romantic night in. Dinner, Bubble bath, and massage, by me...and a book of "favors" for each month of the year, custom made to his desires!!

So My Husband is sooooo wonderful and helpful - Just this year he's gone back to school full time & has become my stay@home husband, it's great - he's dusting, washing dishes (we have no dishwasher :}), cooking, organizing, doing laundry makes my lunches & is an A student! So I wanted to make this a Very special VDay for him to thank him SOO I’m going to cook him a salmon dinner & watch the entire Marx Brothers movies collection with him (& not look bored) & in one of the DVD cases he'll find Ben Folds tickets (his absolutely fav band :] ) - so he better LOVE it :).. he will :D

Sooo if you still haven't found a gift - online tickets to something he loves it Always great, & spending time unselfishly with him doing something he loves is the best gift you can give :)
<3 Mrs.Racer
P.S. I think it's just so lovely of you to do these give-a-ways :) You such a giving person :) Fantastic!

I would give a boyfriend cologne (scentmonkey.com has GREAT deals and often times you can find a code for free shipping), a shirt, a date night, or a home made dinner by candlelight.

I would give my hubby cologne (always a good gift), a night in a hotel or bed and breakfast, a massage (which is what I decided to go with...not by me of course...90 minutes of bliss by a professional), or some lingere...this benefits both :)

Good luck deciding!

Can I pretend it is for the kid I have a crush on since there is no boy-friend? I would give him tickets to The Beach Boys because they are coming to town in May and he loves them and has never seen them live!

Cologne is the CLASSIC gift for the boyfriend!! I am pretty sure that I gave the old school "Nautica" scent to 3 guys! :) I ended up getting my last boyfriend, who is now the husband, a cologne called Farenheit. When he wears it, it totally takes me back to those days when we lived in NY.

And that bracelet totally ROCKS!

LOVE this!!!

I think the best gifts are YOU and the ones you've made. A quite dinner alone, a love letter, any of his favorites in excess, his favorite meal....

The first Valentine's with my sweetie I wanted to make it personal so I made a gift certificate book with different cards such as a dancing in the moonlight, a candlelight dinner, a massage....It was quirky but he loved the personal touch and when he redeemed them he always had such a cute look on his face. It was so adorable!! This year he is getting his favorite dinner, cooked at home, with soft lights, fire, and sweet loving. We are married now, we can do that!!! :)

Love the bracelet!! It's so fashionable!

Love the brace
