me like COOKIES!

opening night brought a glorious amount of flowers from
dubya, wildhorn, m & d + the girls, and L & K (the ace-gals)!
i felt so grateful and zuzschy.

then intermission happened ....

boy, did it HAPPEN!

the lovely cookie gods from smart cookie
sent dozens of assorted (beautifully packaged) treats as an opening night pressie!
you all know of my deep and eternal love of their cream-cheese sugar cookies... but now i'm a HUGE fan of the snickerdoodles, white chocolate macadamia, and chocolate fudge...
i had purchased 2 doz sugars for the orchestra sitz probe
on wednesday and the cast went BANANAS-so when the gals saw that package (even before i did....) they were ready to pounce!

the sugars were gone in a hot second (literally, before intermission was over) and the others were demolished faster than you can imagine (and we didn't even share with the boys!).

here's what i tried to explain to my nyc friends when they
questioned why i know all the best treats:

when you don't drink...... food becomes VERY important..
when you're mormon, you KNOW your sugar....

and when a store-bought cookie is better than the sacred family sugar cookie recipe....

you buy them, share them, and eat them.

thank you , smart cookie company!!!
we love you!

I saw your show Saturday night! What a fantastic performance by you and what a beautiful story line. I wasn't familiar with the story, and the last scene left me a little choked up. Perhaps one of the better love stories I know. It was great seeing you doing what you love and blog about.

An Ace gal? Wow, I didn't know about that about myself lol.

I just baked snickerdoodles last weekend. Had I known you would develop a love for them I'd have saved some for you instead of mailing them all to Houston lol. Though, you did get some at Christmas time. lol

Glad you got so much opening night love!

Yummy yummy....I need to start dancing in shows so that I can eat those cookies and not gain on the waistline.

Missing utah's cookies.

But, really every Mormon girl has to come and enjoy some Southern food....if you think you know your sugars, you are wrong, unless you have tried a fried twinkie! No joke.

Hi! You don't actually know me. I met your sister Nicole when we were both in Santa Barbara. I am actually a drama teacher now at a high school and I was wondering if you would be willing to do an "interview" for my advanced drama students. They have written a few questions each and I would love it if you could answer me. Please email me if this would be possible. We can do the whole thing through email. Thank you so much for the consideration. Brittney

Hey! Thanks for the shout out on Twitter. You're the BEST!! If you guys haven't seen her perform in Miss Saigon -- you are sorely missing out! I loved your performance and it's so cool that we got to meet you afterwards! You're even cuter/nicer in person! Hopefully it won't be the last time we see you perform!

Natalie -- hi I found your blog on Naomis not too long ago. I'm just curious about Saigon. Where is it in SLC and how long is it going for? I would like to see. Thanks,
